BEP ICT team has made 16 interactive digital textbooks for class six with audio, video, text and animation. Digital textbooks contain a combination of textbooks and multimedia content such as video clips, animations that can be tailored to students&#8217; abilities and interests. Students can underline sections, take notes, reorganize pages. The IDT is available at: <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/BRAC_IDT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/BRAC_IDT<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics of IDT specified as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IDT looks exactly like a traditional textbook but interactive and dynamic<\/li>\n<li>Can be navigated from content page to any sections or chapter directly<\/li>\n<li>Zoom in\/ out<\/li>\n<li>Each section comprises with options of<br \/>\no multimedia contents (audio, video, animation),<br \/>\no hyperlinks<br \/>\no interactions<br \/>\no taking notes<br \/>\no put marking<br \/>\no forward and backward linkage of contents<\/li>\n<li>Can be used by visually impaired students by embedding text to speech<\/li>\n<li>Multi-platform supported (Windows PC and Android devices)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Manmohan Parkash, Technical and Madrasah Division Secretary Md Alamgir, Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) Prof Md Mahabubur Rahman, among others, addressed the function.
